UL universal fishing tool externally engages and retrieves tubular fish, primarily sucker rods, during well intervention and remediation.
The fishing tool consists of a sub, a body, three inserts, set of replaceable slips, a dismountable lock and a guide.
The fish is engaged by three teethed slips travelling along dove-tail slots in inserts, secured with a dismountable lock. The slips are carburized.
With strain of the string and concurrent travel of the slips, teeth set into the fish. Further pulling up will results in reliable positive engagement between the fishing tool and the fish. UL universal fishing tool is available in right-hand and left-hand thread configuration.
The tool is available with two sets of slips for extensive catch size range.
